About the Event

The Fall Lecture Series begins with a presentation on the history and ecology of "Haverstraw Bay" by Scott Craven on October 2 at 7:30pm in the clubhouse at Shattemuc Yacht Club.

Haverstraw Bay is the widest, most shallow section of the Hudson River. With almost 18 square miles of water, it constitutes an enormous watershed – with iconic hills, smokestacks, headlands and other features. Its history, natural beauty and sunsets are treasures to our area. Also, learn why Croton Landing Park is the best place to see “sun dogs” in the Hudson Valley.

Admission is FREE and open to the public.
